Biography

Polo Jones is an accomplished professional musician.  He started playing Bass Guitar when he was 10 years old.  His first band experience was with his parents.  His father  was an accomplished saxophone player and his mother was a legendary pianist and singer..  At the age of 14, Polo was asked to go on tour with Blues legend John Lee Hooker. His love for all different types of music led him to expand his abilities to include Rock, Funk and Jazz as well as Blues. A versatile and talented musician Polo was soon working with Larry Graham, "Hot Chocolate," Walter Hawkins and Sly Stone.

After touring through the seventies and early eighties, Polo pursued a short solo career.  In 1985, he received a call from Corrado Rustici Producer ( Zucchero ,Andrea Bocelli) to join "Holiday of Hands."a fusion pop band.  Shortly thereafter Polo began recording albums in Europe.

Polo's Bass style is both solid and expressive, which has made him an asset to the many rhythm sections.  Other instruments include Bass synthesizer, Guitar, Drums and Keyboards.

Polo has produced some varied and innovative projects, from language tapes to Movie Soundtracks, and from Rock n' Roll to Country. He has worked closely with Dean Markley, Peavey and assisted with music product design.

One of Polo's strongest musical assets is his ability when producing to bring out the best in the players around him.  He has consistently been able to elevate every project he works on and has been instrumental in helping other artists to achieve their musical vision
